All organised, until I’m not.

This week I have been dealing with such complex issues as, what time is it really? am I sure I don’t have to go to work today? and, remember, when Saturday comes your holiday is over, it’s a work day.

To any normal person none of that would be terribly taxing. If I could get the first one sorted I am convinced I could get my head around the rest of it too. The constant need to check the time is messing with my head and frankly that’s the last thing my head needs.

Today is respite day. 15 absolutely loves going. This morning when she saw me getting together her clothes and supplies she was elated. One thing that is absolutely imperative is that her medications are included, without those she would be in trouble. They are the one area that I not only check and double-check but open and recount so many times it becomes pitiful. I even opened the bag and counted her medications when she got into the minibus. You can see how pleased she was to see it arrive.

You don’t get any prizes for realising where this is going. About an hour after she left the house the phone rang, one of her sets of tablets was missing. It is the down side of so many different medications and different doses at different times, there are lots to be counted.

So now part of our evening is a trip up to where she has respite with the missing tablets. Thankfully there is plenty of time before she has to take them. We will have to nip in and out without her noticing too much and hope it doesn’t spoil her evening.

Oh well, I wanted to get out of the house, I’m glad it’s going to be for something exciting.

I hope your evening goes well and any frights are mild ones.
